History

Stein Fibers, Ltd. was founded in 1976 as the successor business owned by Sidney "Sid" Stein Jr., the original Stein in Stein Fibers, who was born into a family devoted to the textile industry. He worked for several family companies and had many years of experience in the textile industry. This enabled Sid to have life long involvement in Stein Fibers Ltd.

Initially Stein Fibers, Ltd. operated as a distributor of polyester fiberfill produced by leading domestic manufacturers, however, in 1990s our company branched out and began importing fibers from Korea and Taiwan. By the end of the 1990’s Stein Fibers, Ltd. expanded its business and began importing from fiber producers in China.

More recently, Stein Fibers, Ltd. has turned its focus to manufacturing. Initially Stein Fibers, Ltd. launched a manufacturing facility in Lafayette Georgia, beginning the process of vertically integrating itself as a manufacturer and distributor. Nearly eight years later, in the summer of 2008, Stein Fibers, Ltd. opened the doors to their second manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

With over 30 years in the business, Stein Fibers, Ltd. has become one of top distributors of polyester fiberfill in North America. Our fiber, purchased by numerous Fortune 500 companies, is used in automobiles, furniture, home furnishings, and medical products.
